Jim Lee and Jolona Freston Family
Our family is growing up. We have 4 kids ranging in age from 22 months to 9 years.
Maelee will be 2 in February and is living up to all the stereotypes associated with her red hair- she is a little spit-fire. Sometimes I think she really spits fire. We love her dearly but have nicknamed her “the fun-killer”. She just takes all the fun out of anything that requires a little silence, reverence or order.
Parker will be five in July. He is the funniest kid I have ever been around. He is always up to something. He is loving pre-school. He is all boy, the biggest indicator of his all-boy-ness is his ability to make jokes for hours on end about flatulence! Ask him about it sometime! He is always in character, always a different character but definitely a character. Today he is “puss in boots”, yesterday he was “Captain America”
Paige is in Second grade and is mastering everything that comes at her. She is reading at a fifth grade level and gets bored with school. She has had wonderful teachers that have been great about modifying instruction to keep up with her. She was just baptized in October and is loving life.
Porter is in third grade and has moved up into another school- Its amazing how small transitions like that make you feel old all of a sudden. He loves his cub scouts and is always working on an advancement or award. He has such a big heart. He is the best big brother that a person could have and his younger siblings are starting to acknowledge this. He is quite the gentleman.
Jolona continue her adventure as a stay at home mom which allows for many wonderful blessings like keeping Parker in costumes for his never-ending adventures. She is working with the parent teacher student organization to bring activities to the school and is always volunteering in both kids classrooms. It gets her back to her expertise area of elementary education.
As for me- I am still working at Union High School teaching Agriculture Education and being a FFA advisor. This keeps life interesting. It allows me to travel with the students to fun destinations. I love it most days- but some days I just can’t believe what I have got myself into. I have to support my school teaching habit so I am still working other odd jobs to make it all stay together.

Porter and Paige Sang Frosty the Snowman for their Christmas program. It turned out really cute!

2010

Ok, So I have made it my New Years resolution to blog more instead of writing in my kids journals. So we are going to start by giving our year in review.

Maelee J. Freston was born Febuary 24th 2010. She has been so much fun! The kids love to fuss over her and she adores them! She loves games like patty cake and “so big”. She loves any interaction with others. My Favorite thing she does is squint and snort and act like she is charging you, It’s hilarious! She is really close to walking (if she were brave she would be there.) When I took her to the doctor a couple a weeks ago she was 25 lbs. What a lug!

Parker Lynn Freston turned three in July. Let’s see what can I say about Parker? He is WILD!!!! He is SO full of energy, It wears me out just watching him. We took him to see Tarzan at the Tuacahn in November and he ate it up!!! He was obsessed with Tarzan for months! He loves to sing and does about anything to get attention from his siblings. He is the funniest kid I have ever met!

Paige Melinda Freston turned seven in October. She LOVES school and anything that has to do with school. She is an amazing reader and is always thriving to do better. She defiantly has a stubborn streak in her and wants to do things her OWN way.

Porter Samuel Freston turned eight on September 2nd and was baptized two days after his birthday. It was such a special day. Porter has such a kind heart and is always striving to do what he knows is right. He is always so anxious to bear he testimony EVERY fast Sunday and wants to be the first one to do it. He is loving scouts and I am lucky enough to be his scout leader. 

As for Jim and I, We have had one busy summer as well. We bought a house and fixed it up to sell. I would work there during Maelee’s naps (luckily she took long ones). After two long months it was ready to go! Jim is still as busy as ever teaching, advising, and being a farmer on the side. My Parents just left to the Dominican Republic a couple of weeks ago for an 18 month mission and are already sorely missed!
