Jim Lee and Jolona Freston Family
Our family is growing up. We have 4 kids ranging in age from 22 months to 9 years.
Maelee will be 2 in February and is living up to all the stereotypes associated with her red hair- she is a little spit-fire. Sometimes I think she really spits fire. We love her dearly but have nicknamed her “the fun-killer”. She just takes all the fun out of anything that requires a little silence, reverence or order.
Parker will be five in July. He is the funniest kid I have ever been around. He is always up to something. He is loving pre-school. He is all boy, the biggest indicator of his all-boy-ness is his ability to make jokes for hours on end about flatulence! Ask him about it sometime! He is always in character, always a different character but definitely a character. Today he is “puss in boots”, yesterday he was “Captain America”
Paige is in Second grade and is mastering everything that comes at her. She is reading at a fifth grade level and gets bored with school. She has had wonderful teachers that have been great about modifying instruction to keep up with her. She was just baptized in October and is loving life.
Porter is in third grade and has moved up into another school- Its amazing how small transitions like that make you feel old all of a sudden. He loves his cub scouts and is always working on an advancement or award. He has such a big heart. He is the best big brother that a person could have and his younger siblings are starting to acknowledge this. He is quite the gentleman.
Jolona continue her adventure as a stay at home mom which allows for many wonderful blessings like keeping Parker in costumes for his never-ending adventures. She is working with the parent teacher student organization to bring activities to the school and is always volunteering in both kids classrooms. It gets her back to her expertise area of elementary education.
As for me- I am still working at Union High School teaching Agriculture Education and being a FFA advisor. This keeps life interesting. It allows me to travel with the students to fun destinations. I love it most days- but some days I just can’t believe what I have got myself into. I have to support my school teaching habit so I am still working other odd jobs to make it all stay together.
